The Field

The sky is but a purple dome
across the field you walk alone
you let the wind lead you along.

The city twinkles far away
the bridges, in the distance, sway
you seem to fade and melt away.

Oh, far away
Oh, far away

Across the field your lover comes
you take her in your open arms
you stand together very still.

She lets the star light in her eyes
she tries to give you lovely lies
you listen to the wind instead.

Oh, far away
Oh, far away
The wind blows far away.
